Bringing your design ambitions to life...

As architectural designers and planners we take a practical approach to all aspects of our projects from the first touch to the last. With every project being different we provide as little or as much input as you require.

We don't need to know what makes you tick... we just need to know what you want to achieve from your project.

It is much better and less costly to fully plan your project before entering the far more costly build phase. Uncertainties and mid build changes are costly, waste time and frequently cause friction.

Concept development

Using CAD outputs and various visualisation technologies we can generate many levels and types of visualisation, inside, outside and contextual, using natural and artificial lighting. This does not need to be a complicated process depending on the scale of the project, but does provide invaluable feedback for design making decisions. Decent visuals help you to fully conceptualise your plan and are extremely useful when conveying your ideas to planners and the local community.

All of our projects use a 3D based workflow. This enables designs to be visualised from the earliest stages

Where appropriate we use a full range of technologies from 3D laser scanning to into fully resolved CAD structures which can be used for preliminary views, layouts and visualisations. This is a process that can be revisited as many times as necessary to achieve the desired result, taking into account things like materials, scale and energy efficiency.

Permissions

With the experience of many applications across different authorities we can work with you and the relevant planning authority to submit the best application possible for your project. Sometimes this will require the use of specialist outside consultants to satisfy specific needs e.g. structural calculations, arboriculture or water management, when it does, we have the relevant contacts to fulfil these needs.

Building regulations

As building regulations become ever more arduous to satisfy, so the need for a clear, detailed and unambiguous building specification increases. This is important both to demonstrate to the local authority building control that your project will comply with standards, but also as the basis of a building schedule for budgetary and tender purposes.

Working Drawings and Components

In addition to plans and drawings required for statutory purposes it may often be useful to have additional working drawings to deal with specific requirements and details where they are not sufficiently clear, or for commissioning bespoke components like staircases, windows or kitchens.
